These are self holding cheek retractors highly useful for doctors. They are very handy since there is no external help required to hold the instrument, it has a spring action in the prong to hold itself in the patients mouth. Mostly used in full mouth surgery.
Orringer Cheek Retractor is a hands-free retractor used to hold mucoperiosteal flaps, cheeks, lips and tongue away from the surgical area, 4.2″ long.
